GRIC RESOLUTION...

Gila River Indian Community passed the Resolution on January 5, 2005 towards the formation and recognition of Gila River School Board Coalition. (SBC) as a tribal entity. The primary purpose of the SBC will be to promote communication and network among the schools, and to promote and protect GRIC students' educational future by ensuring that said schools provide quality culturally-relevant educational services. According to this Resolution, there are eleven schools under this Coalition:

• Blackwater Community School
• Casa Blanca Community School
• Ira H. Hayes Memorial Applied Learning Center
• Gila Crossing Community School(Elem. & Middle)
• Maricopa Village Christian School
• Sacaton School District (Elem. & Middle)
• St. Peter Indian Mission School
• Vechji Himdag Mashchumakud Alternative School
